UPS has donated supply-distribution barcode technology for use by the Salvation Army in its Haiti relief efforts.

Transport Topics Online reported that “the system is based on UPS’ Trackpad technology, which customers use to track packages within campus environments as the packages move from the loading dock to distributed offices for delivery. In Haiti, it is replacing handwritten index cards that had been used by the Salvation Army following that country’s severe earthquake on January 12 this year.”

If barcodes can assist in earthquake recovery efforts, imagine what they could do for your organisation? IMAGINE IT! RIGHT NOW! Hey you …why are you not imagining it?
