Using Smartphones to track assets! These guys have the right idea but as the article below illustrates; a massive investment in a system beyond the smartphone scanning still needs to be completed. Although the technology now allows for such barcode scanning magic to happen on a phone, significant development on the software side in order to integrate the scanned data still needs to be completed in order to fully capitalize on this new technology.
