When London’s first Temaki Sushi restaurant was still under construction, the owners took the opportunity to reach out to consumers early. The building was concealed behind a vibrant display upon which QR barcode fish were waiting to be scanned by tech savvy pedestrians.

Scanning the code launched a simple mobile game which allowed smart phone users to fish for Temaki. Catching a fish would net the player discounts!Barcodes; saving you time…saving you money. Wait that sounds like someone else’s slogan – ours is “BARCODE EVERYTHING” – just saying.

QR Codes have become a great way for businesses to interact with consumers. Consumers have long responded well to interactive advertisements, especially those incentivising their participation. Again – just saying.
