We have received, over the last week, a group of R10 000 corporate donations taking our total for funds raised to over R150 000! The Financial services industry is really Rallying (excuse the pun…again..it’s just too easy) behind our cause.

Our goal was to raise R50 000 to help out Abraham Kriel but when the ball is coming off the bat so sweetly you might as well keep trying to hit 6′s! We are ridiculously excited to let you know that we have now officially got to our century (scored at record pace)! The talk is that it is a flat pitch and that we might be in for a while. Keep an eye out for more incoming runs…I mean funds.

We were completely unaware and astounded by the presence of the Protea Hospitality Group in Southern Africa and while researching our Rally Route realised that the Protea Hotel locations coincided remarkably with our stop overs (Cape Town, Windhoek, Ondangwa, Katima Mulilo, Livingstone, Lusaka, Chipata, Blantyre, Kruger National Park/Nelspruit).
We got in touch and are ecstatic to announce that Protea Hotels are going out of their way to accommodate us, literally, during our Put Foot Rally 2013! We would like to take this opportunity to welcome the Protea Hospitality Group on board the Team AK Drive…a drive to create awareness and funds for Abraham Kriel! Woohoooo!

We have a few channels through which funds are directed towards Abraham Kriel. The easiest way to make a secure donation is to go via the Given Gain project we have loaded. We don’t care how the money gets to AK, as long as it does and the kids get the support they need.

With our stage sponsorship’s all tied up it is now time to start focusing on getting as many donations as we can to help out the kids at Abraham Kriel Children’s Home. We have have had some very generous donations from “the man in the street”. Our GivenGain donation page is currently registering R5650 which brings out total to R45,650!
