The interweb is full of debate at the moment about Science fiction author Elizabeth Moon’s comments in an interview on a BBC radio program about it being a good idea to “barcode” infants at birth. People are losing their heads over privacy concerns and safety issues. Our thoughts are that if you are not dubious of nature and don’t have anything to hide that the concept is a good one. Barcoding is all bout tracking and tracing (and alliteration apparently) which has a multitude of obvious benefits.
In our opinion you should BARCODE EVERYTHING! Like this guy Scott – he’s on board.
The following article weighs up the pro’s and con’s quite objectively, so read it and decide for yourself…The article concludes with the following quote (which we agree completely with) : “We can have security, we can have convenience, and we can have privacy, we can have our cake and eat it too.”
